At The Top Of The Mountain
My greatest success in English class this quarter has probably been the Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children Tableau Analysis Essay. I was able to get a great grade because I thought I put a lot of time and effort into writing that analysis essay. Also, I was following the guidelines through the rubric and was getting help all throughout the way, either through asking my peers or by asking the teacher for her own opinion and any improvements. I think the key to this success was that I was constantly making changes and improvements to my tableau analysis essay, making it better and better all the time.
Low Point
I think the low point was when I was working on the Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children folder. First off, procrastination. Something as big as that should not have been left to the last moment, putting too much stress on myself to deliver in a few days. Also, I was not paying attention and being attentive, and I wasn't following the guidelines, as I forgot to put the cards in the book and so on and so forth. Basically, it was a pretty bad dark spot and it's something I have to abolish.
Get The Monkey Off Your Back
I think for next quarter, I really need to work on time management, so something like the MPHPC tracking folder will never happen again. This way, I won't be pressured to do too much in such a short span and will allocate time for me to delegate to other subjects or assignments so as to lessen stress. Also, I think I really need to keep asking questions so I don't get lost in what I do and keep checking the guidelines, especially referring to the rubric if there's one and if not, just ask questions about things that I'm uncertain of, because if you follow the guidelines, there's really no reason you should be going in the wrong direction. This way, I can work under less stress and find myself, by actually having the right objectives in my mind while doing assignments, allowing me to perform better in class.
